ZML.com – Sub $2 Movie Downloads
With a model similar to that of Allofmp3.com – one of the biggest and most controversial music download stores, comes ZML.com which stands for “The Movie Library.” The movie downloads are available starting sub $2 and are available in multiple formats compatible for various devices including iPod, PDA (HandHelds), PC, DVD & DivX players., without any Rights Management. Unfortunately, it also comes with all the trappings that Allofmp3.com came with – ZML.com does not have any licenses from any of the Hollywood studios, just a reference to a collective licensing agreement with an obscure Russian rights holders agency.
Whether ZML goes down the same route as allofmp3.com seems very much possible given Hollywood’s attempts at decreasing piracy, but in these days, where DVDs themselves are becoming so cheap, is it really worth it?
NewTeeVee.com has a complete run-down on the service.
