Who’re The Heaviest Users Of Mobile Phones?
Known for their ‘gift of the gab’, the Irish lead the way in the use of mobile phones, spending around 179 minutes per month on average on their mobiles. Surprised?
The Irish love of the ‘craic’ or general banter has also spread to texting with mobile phone users in Ireland sending an average of 154 text messages a month, nearly double the figure in Britain of 81. Compare that with the polish sending 108 text messages a month on an average, the French 25 and the Spanish a mere 24.
Get that and other such factoids, was from the third International Communications Market Report by Ofcom, which examines the take-up of communication services in 12 established industrialised economies, as well as the fast growing economies of Brazil, India, Russia and China.
