The New Business Standard Online
Business Standard seems to have changed it’s online interface to a more Web 2.0ish design complete with gradations, etc. The focus on advertising is pretty clear given the rather large number of banners (I counted 12 internal and external banner spots on the home page), which could also be contributing to the page size (one estimate from my Firefox plugin puts it at 545 KB). The colour sceheme is rather staid, which they probably hope would be offset by the advertising (some colours and icons would definitely have helped to make the site more attractive though). I think they would need to rethink their advertising properties.
The new avtaar includes RSS feeds, newsletters, discussion board, a section for videos (which does not appear to be populated with content as yet). etc. It still appears to be in public beta.
