The Joys Of Interior Design 2.0
Don’t like that glass partition … or the couch in that corner?
Now with FloorPlanner, you can make your floor plan using drag and drop tools online, and rearrange it as often as you want, so that when you finally translate it into real life, you can be sure it is exactly how you would
want it to be. The site currently allows two-dimensional views (with three-dimensional versions planned). After dragging walls into place and fixing the doors, and windows, electrical outlets, etc. where you would want them, you can choose from a selection of furnitures and fixtures to create the house of your dreams.
Floorplanner claims to have over 100,000 registered users – it is free for personal use, with a subscription based service for professionals. Other sites in this space include Plan3D and MyDesignIn.
How long before property portals start providing this service?
