Launched – SilverInnings.com
People for Social Cause, an NGO (non-governmental organisation), has launched SilverInnings.com, a website dedicated to the needs of elderly people. According to Silver Innings, the website will host sections on health and medical issues, finance and investments, law, leisure activities and hobbies, help line and counselling services and a directory of old age homes and other services needed by the elder population and their family members.
While the site is a great initiative, and has some very useful features, such as increasing and decreasing the text size and large sizes, which would make it easier for the elderly to navigate the site on the whole, I think it could be made simpler – I am not a great fan of frames for instance.
