JustDial Raises Rs. 40 Crore From Sequoia Capital

JustDial, the rather popular local telephone and web search company, has raised Rs. 40 Crore from Sequoia Capital says Business Standard. With this, JustDial has raised a total of Rs 175 crore since 2006. Other investors SAIF Partners and Tiger Global Management.
JustDial claims that it has market share of over 90%, reaching out to 400 million mobile customers across 240 cities and 40 million Internet users. Just Dial had a revenue of Rs 91 crore last year, and is expecting to touch Rs 130 crore this year.
With an eye on the global markets, JustDial plans to use the funds for its foray into the North American and Canadian markets with plans to introduce a toll free model.
