DealTracker - YouSendIt Raises $14 Million In Series C

File delivery service, YouSendIt, has raised an additional $14 million in a Series C round led by Emergence Capital and all existing investors, including Alloy Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, Cambrian Ventures and Sigma Partners says VentureBeat (though there is no news on the company site, as yet, to that effect).
This takes the total investment for YouSendIt to $34 million since its inception in 2004.
YouSendIt allows users to upload large files, and send the link to another person for download - they claim to have 7 million registered users, who between them transfer 10 million files each month. Its recent Sitedrop feature acts as a substitute for the file transfer protocol.
The company plans to use the funding to grow subscriptions, and to develop content delivery and management services.

  1. More money doesn’t nessesary mean it’ll trickle down to us users. It’s the opposite in fact; investors looking for returns from our pockets. Which is why I use 2large2email. Check them out at http://www.2large2email.com
