DealTracker – Vriti Infocom Raises $2.5 Million


Intel Capital has invested $2.5 million in an Indian online education company Vriti Infocom, which claims to be creating the first education marketplace in the country says VCCircle.
According to their website, they are into three verticals – education, hotels and shopping, although their primary focus is online education.
The company has developed six portals such as testonline.in (online testing for exam preparation), goIIT.com (science community for IIT aspirants), indiahotelreview.com (hotels directory), collegesearch.in (college directory), myeducation.in (internet notice board for colleges), onlinedeals.in (e-commerce portal), onlineclassroom.in (hosted solution for e-learning), and easyapply.in (a hosted solution for application form submission and management).
