DealTracker – Google Acquires Korean Blogging Platform
Posted on September 13th, 2008 by dhirender
Given that Korea has the ninth-highest number of Internet users in the world, and that Google has a “minor” share in the country, it should not be surprising that Google should be looking for ways to increase its presence in the region. It’s first acquisition in the region, is Tatter and Company, owners of a blogging platform called Textcube which is popular among Korean bloggers. Details of the acquisition have not been disclosed as yet.
I suppose we can look forward to more Asian acquisitions.
