WordPress hit 2 records of sorts, two days in row. Downloads of WordPress 3 (named Thelonious) crossed the 3 million mark on July 1, followed by 100 million downloads of wordpress plugins the next day. There are over 10,000 plugins in the directory, each one of them GPL compatible and free.
