Aksh Launches IPTV Without Broadband Connection

Aksh Optifibres in association with telecom firm MTNL launched country’s first Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) which could be viewed without any high speed broadband connection.
Aksh, a manufacturer of cable and optical fibers would start service under the brand name of ‘icontrol‘ in Mumbai and Delhi, where the state-run telecom firm MTNL has a strong base.
The company, which is planning to invest around Rs 150 crores in its IPTV and voice over internet protocol platform would provide more than 100 channels to its customers. [Via]
