3 Million Indians On LinkedIn
By the time of writing this, LinkedIn will have whizzed past 50 million users worldwide, with Indians chipping at 3 million – today LinkedIn is growing at about 1 member every second (I think that might just match up with the population growth worldwide).
What is even more interesting is this snippet from the blog - When LinkedIn launched in 2003, it took 477 days — almost a year and four months — to reach our first million members. This last million took only 12 days.
About half of the total LinkedIn membership is international. There are now 11 million users in Europe alone. India is currently the fastest-growing country with almost 3 million users, while the Netherlands has the highest rate of adoption per capita outside the U.S., at 30%.
