Mint, the financial daily from Hindustan Times, who with Livemint.com, did a rather good job with their online edition, is now also available on mobile phones.

Bangalore-based e-governance services firm Comat Technologies has raised $15 million (Rs. 60 Crore) in its third round of funding from Omidyar Network and the Unitus Equity Fund (UEF) says VCCircle.

After Shaadi launched its mobile matchmaking services in association with Vodafone, its the turn for BharatMatrimony, which has tied up with Airtel to allow Airtel subscribers India to access BharatMatrimony services on their GPRS enabled handsets. Almost seems like a response to competition.

High Tech Computer (HTC), makers of the Andriod platform powered Google phone (G1) is planning to launch the phone in India by December. This was launched in the US earlier this month, and is considered a competitor to the iPhone.
