DealTracker - PicSquare Raises Funding
Further to the seed capital of $75,000 that PicSquare had raised in 2006 (part via the TiE-EAP program, and part from other investors), it has now raised an undisclosed sum from Bhola Digital Lab, a photo/printing company with branches across Karnataka. Incidentally, the two have already been working together, since Picsquare uses Bhola Digital Lab’s services for fulfillment.
Picsquare allows users to upload, view, share and order online high quality prints of digital photographs, and also create products like t-shirts, mugs, calendar, and greeting cards using the photos. They claim to have over 1.5 Lakhs users and 2 million plus photographs under their management.
The company plans to use the capital raised in this round towards deploying the latest technologies in design and printing, expanding product portfolio, market reach, business partnership and new market & business opportunities according to this release.
