AskLaila Goes WAP

AskLaila, the local search engine, is now available on WAP as well. Available at http://m.asklaila.com from the mobile, the Asklaila WAP version is free, and allows you to search for services and business establishments from your mobile itself.
Alternatively, a mobile user looking for a specific service, can also send an SMS to a short code (58989) to get the results, though that is currently available to Vodafone and Reliance subscribers only.
According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the number of Indian subscribers using their mobiles to log on to the internet had increased from 16 million in 2006 to 38 million in 2007.
