With the launch of Storeguru, Web 18 can now count upto 3 pure shopping portals among its ventures. HomeShop18 which is quite similar to Storeguru and CompareIndia, which aims at providing you the ability to view and compare prices for products offered by sellers, with the ultimate aim is to help the you make the best buying decision. I guess the end objective for CompareIndia is to make it something like BizRate but given the number of retailers online, that might take some time.
Apparently, HomeShop 18 was supposed to be more of an offline player, with just and online presence, while StoreGuru was supposed to be more of an online player, but coming from the same stable, this might just be a valuation game.
