Capazoo - Sharing Its Revenue With Its Members
Here comes yet another model for social networks. Montreal-based Capazoo, has recently launched a micro-currency feature called Zoops, which allows members to “tip” each other for posts, videos, photos, profiles, etc. Members also get Zoops by inviting other friends.
The objective is that Capazoo would allow the members to cash out the Zoops via branded ATM cards. Through this, Capazoo aims to kick back about 7% of its net profits to its members. The only hitch is that members would need to start off with purchasing some Zoops so it is questionable how much the members actually make.
Capazoo also has tie-ups with companies to offer special deals to its privileged and VIP members.
It would be interesting to see how this works out.
