Satyam Set To Unveil Web-Based Services For SMEs
Satyam Computer Services, claims to be ready to launch the next generation enterprise applications delivery model — software as a service (SaaS) - for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Under this model, the company will provide web-based enterprise application platform (EAP) for use by SMEs to run business operations like sales, purchases, production, shipment, finance and accounts.
SaaS brings several advantages to SMEs, such as low up-front investment, predictable maintenance costs, lower customisation, leaner IS staff and scalable service level among other things, and is much required, given that SMEs are among the fastest growing segments in a developing economy.
