When social networking meets the mobile

A mobile based social mapping service, Loopt facilitates real-world interaction between friends using location-based technologies, it lets you know where your friends are by automatically updating maps on your mobile handset. Through Loopt, you can send photos and videos to one another, create events, get alerts when friends are nearby and meet up on the fly. Thankfully, you can also block your profile and hide yourself from specific people if you don’t want them to know what you’re up to.
