A search engine and directory of all things web 2.0 including applications and services, Go2Web20.net has a fantastic interface that combines AJAX and Flash. The categories for instance are presented as a drop down layer tag cloud, and the companies via their logos, making the interface both useful, as well as visually aesthetic. However, it would be interesting to note how scale would be managed.
