As the virtual world casts its net wider, various religious sites have sprung up to offer services such as live webcasts of the namaaz at Mecca, Ganpati visarjans at Chowpatty, chats with religious leaders, discussion rooms on the intricacies of the Bhagavad Gita, aarti rooms where you can sing along to Bhajans.
Religion after all, is the opiate of the masses - how long before it came online … and how much longer beforeĀ it goes mobile? I already get SMSĀ asking me if I want puja performed at the Siddhivinayak temple on my behalf.
