Revenue in W. Europe to grow by 43.3% by 2011

Yahoo! News:The mobile phone market across Western Europe is forecast to grow by 43.3 percent by 2011, according to a study by telecoms research group Analysys.
Mobile services revenue across the region was forecast to grow at a compound average growth rate of 6.2 percent annually to 198.4 billion euros (249 billion dollars) in 2011 compared with 138.4 billion euros in 2005, the British group said.
“Growth will primarily be driven by rich-media services including music and television,” it added.
The report’s author, Windsor Holden, said there was currently a rapid acceleration in the number of music tracks being downloaded onto mobile phones, which are also increasingly being used to watch television footage.
