Google Videos - moving towards standardized content

Red Herring: The search king began including free movies and TV shows Thursday on Google Video—material that must be paid for elsewhere. The company is using advertising embedded in the videos to finance the new copyright material.
For instance online video fans can see episodes of Mr. Magoo and Felix the Cat, along with Charlie Chaplin movies, boxing matches, and Charlie Rose interviews. The material comes with ads from companies such as Burger King and Netflix embedded.
